How it works
AS-PRC-001 · Rev 3
From brief to a reviewable draft
Three steps, and the last one stays yours. Every document is a draft until a competent person signs it.
Step 01
Describe the site and the task
Enter your project details, site address, scope of work and type of task. The more context you provide, the more precise the output.
Step 02
Generate a site-specific draft
Aleph builds the document from 2,000+ real South African safety precedents. No guesswork, and nothing borrowed from another country’s rules.
Step 03
Review, sign off, submit
Download as XLSX or DOCX. A competent person reviews and signs it. The platform does not replace the appointment.
Three documents that agree
Generated in sequence, so they never disagree.
The risk assessment is drawn from your approved method statement, and the safe work procedure from both. That is the first thing a reviewer checks.
MS · Method statement
The sequence of the work
Activity by activity: the plant and PPE involved, the legal appointments the task requires, the controls, and the emergency procedures.
RA · Risk assessment
Drawn from the method statement
Hazards rated before and after controls on a five by five matrix. Job/task, issue-based and baseline assessments.
SWP · Safe work procedure
Drawn from both
Step-by-step execution for the people doing the work, with the legislative references that apply on that site.
By industry
Written to the Act that applies on your site
Choose the legislation per project. The document follows it, down to the clause.
Written to the OHS Act and the Construction Regulations 2014
Method statements, HIRA and safe work procedures for principal contractors and site access, not an overseas template with a South African logo. Risk assessments are aligned to Construction Regulation 9.
- OHS Act 85/1993The Act every construction document on the site answers to.
- CR 2014 · reg. 9Risk assessment: job/task, issue-based and baseline, with inherent and residual ratings.
- Safety fileNumbered, revision-controlled documents a principal contractor can review and a CHSO can induct against.
- AppointmentsThe legal appointments the task requires, named in the method statement.
Written to the Mine Health and Safety Act
Section 11 risk assessments, method statements and SWPs written to the MHSA, not an OHS template with mining words swapped in.
- MHSA s. 11Risk assessment matrices with inherent and residual ratings: job/task, issue-based and baseline.
- MHSA s. 9(2)The mandatory codes of practice the activity falls under.
- 4.1 · 3.1 · 2.xThe appointment chain, carried into the method statement.
- Chapter 8Trackless mobile machinery, where the activity calls for it.
Why Aleph Safe
Not a template tool. A compliance engine.
Built from 2,000+ real South African safety precedents across construction, mining and industrial sectors.
Written for the job in front of you
Give it the scope of work. It returns a full step-by-step sequence, the legal appointments that task requires, the plant and PPE involved, and the emergency procedures.
Built to be checked
Every document carries a number, a revision and an approval trail, so when a client’s safety officer asks who signed it and when, the answer is in the document.
Three documents that agree
Generated in sequence from one scope, so the risk assessment matches the method statement and the SWP matches both.
Both Acts, one platform
Construction, mining, agriculture, manufacturing and SHEQ consulting. The OHS Act and the MHSA, chosen per project.
Viewers never cost a seat
You pay for the people who write documents. Clients, reviewers and directors read for free, on every plan.
Your documents stay yours

Aleph Control
Safe writes the documentation. Control keeps the record.
Incidents, man-hours, training, PPE, equipment, permits and contractors in one dashboard, with LTIFR, TRIFR and AIFR calculated for you. Run both, and every document you generate for a project appears against that project in Aleph Control.

Are documents written to the OHS Act?
Documents are written to the OHS Act 85 of 1993, the Construction Regulations 2014 and the MHSA 29 of 1996, from 2,000+ South African compliance precedents. They are issued as drafts. A competent person must sign them before they carry any authority.
What types of documents can I generate?
Method statements, risk assessments and safe work procedures. Additional document types are in development.
Does this replace a competent person?
No. You still need to know the job, and a competent person must sign every document. The platform produces the draft, the numbering and the approval trail. It does not replace the appointment.
Is my data secure?
Documents are stored privately. Every table is protected by row-level security, so a company can only ever read its own records, and data is encrypted in transit and at rest. No document data is used to train external AI models.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Cancel from your account settings. There is no lock-in contract, and if Aleph is not right for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund.
What happens when my trial ends?
The trial runs for 14 days with 5 documents and needs no card. When it ends your account becomes read-only: nothing is owed, nothing is charged and nothing is deleted. Choose a plan, from R299 a month, to create or change documents again.
